My name is Simone and I live in Margate, Kent with my wonderful husband and three beautiful children. I am a primary school teacher and private tutor and am currently training to become a clinical hypnotherapist at Life Clinics. I am a member of the Bahá'i community and enjoy facilitating a neighbourhood children's virtues class. Choral music is one of my passions and I love singing and performing with Cantate Chamber Choir. I am interested in psychology, in particular how the mind can be used as a powerful tool for transformation, and how this can benefit pregnant women in preparation for having a baby (see helpful links page for more information).
I trained as a doula with Nurturing Birth, led by highly experienced and knowledgable doula mentors. Although I had worked as a doula prior to this, the training provided me with new insights into the importance of mothers making informed decisions about their birth, how powerful the role of a doula can be and how to best serve the needs of a mother through their journey of pregnancy and birth. Being a doula is a true privilege and I feel so blessed to be able to do what I love most.
